Amethyst Mini Mushroom
Amethyst Mini Mushrooms - many have Citrine inclusions so can be considered Ametrine rather than pure Amethyst - approximately 2cm tall
-
Amethyst is a purple variety of quartz composed of silicon dioxide (SiO₂).
-
It forms when quartz crystallises from silica-rich fluids, most commonly in hydrothermal veins and in cavities within volcanic rocks such as basalt.
-
Like all quartz, amethyst has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale.
-
The purple colour is caused by trace amounts of iron within the quartz crystal structure, modified by natural irradiation from surrounding rocks.
-
Most of our Amethyst is sourced directly from Brazil.
*Price quoted is for one mini mushroom that will be intuitively picked for you. As each stone is naturally formed, there will be slight variations in colour due to their uniqueness.
