LOCATIONS FOUND: India (primary), Sri Lanka, Madagascar

FORMATION: Labradorite with adularescent layered feldspar

• Technically a labradorite variety, not true moonstone.

• The black tourmaline inclusions commonly seen in rainbow moonstone are actually schorl crystals that grew alongside the feldspar.
