★ DID YOU KNOW? ★
• Sodalite fluoresces bright orange under ultraviolet light due to its sulphur
content, making it one of the most dramatic minerals to view under a UV lamp.
• Unlike most blue minerals which get their colour from copper or cobalt,
sodalite's rich blue comes from sulphur radical anions trapped in its crystal
cage structure. Often confused with lapis lazuli, sodalite lacks the golden
pyrite flecks that make lapis lazuli distinctive.
