Blue Needle Clear Quartz Point - VERY RARE and incredible clarity!

The Blue Needle that you can see with light is not rutile, but very thin trapped lines of gas - this effect is called the "Tyndall" effect - with the blue light wavelength being reflected much more so than the red wavelength - a very difficult thing to find in Clear Quartz and therefore few pieces on the market. The blue is much more prominent if you sit these pieces on a light base.
